The Nottingham Race Course is actually 2 courses in one, 1 course runs inside the other. Used exclusively for flat races the left handed oval circuits are approximately 1 mile 4 furlongs in length and run alongside the River Trent for a small part. Nottingham itself is best known for the adventures of Robin Hood but in more recent times has gained somewhat of a claim to fame in the rumoured ratio of female to male students that attend the university...that that I would know anything about this personally.
